BetterUp sought out to create a solution to provide live workshops in an effort to expand coaching from one to many. The solution: Build an interactive video conferencing platform for virtual workshops, live shows, chat, and webinars. We built a platform that was accessible via desktop and mobile apps, allowing users to join interactive exclusive events hosted by BetterUp. The MVP for this project was to use Zoom so we could learn what works and doesn’t, and then integrate our own video vendor into our very own built-from-scratch video platform. We needed to deliver something that was both interactive and multi-faceted. The platform needed to have the ability to have worksheets and artifacts the user could download prior or during the live session. We were also able to execute interactions like emojis, the ability to bring a guest “on stage” into a second screen, and scale the platform into a place where previously recorded sessions can be on demand.
