Agent Monkey

AgentMonkey

The everyday freelancer get's an agent.

AgentMonkey is a low-fidelity platform designed to answer the challenge of the freelancer who needs to manage their current work load while searching for new projects.

The Challenge: Emerson is a freelance writer who finds it difficult to manage current projects while looking for new ones.

My Response:  Create a dynamic application that organizes and prioritizes current projects by due date and milestones allowing the user to only be able to accept new projects once one of the five current projects are complete.

Agentmonkey was created from a research interview uncovering challenges through questions that were not leading in any way.  The challenge:  How does one complete freelance jobs while searching for new jobs and still having a hold on time …

Agentmonkey was created from a research interview uncovering challenges through questions that were not leading in any way.  The challenge:  How does one complete freelance jobs while searching for new jobs and still having a hold on time management?

This is a slide showing an individual project or "task" page with details about that task, when it is due, documents attached to this task, and new potential "tasks" available on the right-hand side.

Once one project on the list is complete, the user may "Accept" a new project which can either be added manually by the user or accepted from the available jobs aggregated by various job links.  I did user testing to discover how many projects should be worked at any given time.  I made sure to design a full-service back end that has a managed document system, calendar, and billing details.  The freelancer now has a way of creating a profile, managing projects, sending updates to clients, and accepting payment.

This was the start of my thought process going through the initial interview I had with Emerson, to the start of the ideation phase where I outlined "must haves" and what data I would need to show.

This is a slide that shows the "Calendar" page with current projects  or "tasks" being worked as well as showing what tasks are coming due.  Along the left side also shows all the other menu items that would be hidden from an otherwise visible "hamburger" menu.  The right hand side shows suggested "Jobs you may like!" that are available.  The top left shows the user's profile.

This shows the application's "Search Jobs" page from the left menu.  You can search by specific criteria or click on one of the jobs suggested on the right hand side of the page.
